Our Heritage

The history of The Page Group can be traced to the middle of the last century, when Matthew Page a grower decided to sell his own products in Covent Garden. His sons, John and Edward Page continued to develop the sales side of their father's business until, in the 1920s, Carlo Naef married Edward Page's daughter and was taken into the company. Since then it has developed beyond Matthew Page's wildest dreams. In 1981 Carlo Naef's grandson, Patrick Hackett, joined the company and was personally trained by Carlo Naef until he took over the running of the Group as Managing director. He quickly proved himself a worthy successor and it was evident that he would be another force in the flower industry. Patrick's untimely death in 1992 forced Carlo Naef to look once again to his family for support and he appointed his nephew, Giorgio Naef, as vice chairman. Giorgio has now succeeded Carlo as chairman of the J&E Page group.
